Disneyland’s Security Will be Extended to Downtown Disney

A report is saying that Allegiant Air planes are four times as likely to breakdown when compared to other major U.S. airlines, based on the numbers that they pulled from 2015.

In 2015 Allegiant Air made 77 unexpected landings which were due to mechanical failures. In Las Vegas alone, almost half of their 86 planes broke down at least once over the course of the year.

The Federal Aviation Administration determined that all of the issues were “minor” and “non-systemic,” but Allegiant is still dedicated to making any necessary changes to avoid having those issues in the future.

The Allegiant Air CEO Maurice Gallagher Jr. spoke out about the facts in an interview.

“I can look at what we did (in 2015) and it wasn’t acceptable. I don’t disagree with the thrust of your numbers. We want to be well-known as being reliable and on time, and obviously safe, and that’s an important part of our brand. And we’re going to make sure we do those things. But if you stub your toe, step up and own it and move on.”
