Who would buy this product?
Adolf Hitler-themed ice cream cones are now a real thing.
People throughout parts of India can now buy the cones from street vendors.
Some of the boxes depict the German dictator with a photo-realistic image, while others show a cartoonish Hitler wearing a top hat with a swastika on it. (The latter type is obviously for kids. Duh.)
Surprisingly, Hitler-themes are not unusual in India and other parts of Asia. According to the Daily Mail, there are several restaurants and bars named after the Nazi douche bag.
Some are blaming a lack of education in the country for the cones, while others, like the German newspaper Bild are calling it a “macabre publicity stunt.”
One observer in Berlin added:
“There is taste and there is tastelessness. The people of India should be made aware of the terrible crimes committed by him.”
We tried to call the manufacturer’s customer service department in India, but we were directed to a strangely-accented American named “Bob.” (Not really.) Actually, based on the looks of the cart in the picture below, I’m pretty confident that there is no customer service department.
What do you think? Is there any circumstance under which you would buy a Hitler ice cream cone?
