It has been a tough couple of weeks for McDonalds, what with a series of creepy crawlies being discovered in their latest range of wraps.
However, things might be about to turn around for the fast-food giant.
McDonalds has just announced it is launching three new thicker gourmet burgers in the UK and theyre Michelin-chef approved.
Oh la la.
The Signature Collection burgers will consist of The Classic, The BBQ and The Spicy. All of which, will only be made to order.
So, rest assured these will be fresh off the grill (well, thats the plan).
In response to customers demanding thicker patties with fresher, better quality ingredients, McDonalds team of developers started working on a new gourmet range.
What they have come up with has supposedly been signed off by Michelin chefs and will give the likes of Gourmet Burger Kitchen and Shake Shack a run for their money.
The juicy patties have been launched at 28 of the chains UK restaurants, mainly located in the south of England.
However, if the burgers are well received, there are plans to roll them out across the whole of the UK next summer.
Each burger is made with one hundred per cent British and Irish beef and is topped with a variety of tasty treats.
They have been priced at 4.69 individually and 6.19 as part of a meal so, while they might cost a little more than your average Big Mac, they are allegedly worth every penny.
Lets just hope they get the pest control issue sorted before these 5 star morsels make an appearance.
